The Mass Measurement Laboratory is responsible for developing, improving and maintaining national measurement standards, and disseminating quantity values of national standards to customers through verification, calibration and test services. This laboratory also conducts researches on a wide verity of physical measurements.

      National Measurement Standards on Mass

The kilogram (kg) is equal to the mass of the international prototype of the kilogram. This laboratory now maintain lkg national standards including sets of OIML Rlll-l weights of classes E1, E2, F1 F1, etc. This laboratory also maintain sets of mass comparator and dedicated balances. '

Technical Activities

To participate in inter-laboratory comparison with other NMls in the Asia Pacific region conducted by APMP and PTB-SAARC.

To establish mutual recognition agreement on pattern approval on Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments (NAWI) with EU.

To participate CIPM-MRA.
